The Rock Hound heads to The West End

Award-winning jewellery brand, The Rock Hound, will showcase its Fairtrade Gold collections in London’s West End as part of a brand new pop-up shopping experience on New Bond Street.

The East London-based brand is taking part in the inaugural Autelier event at 125 New Bond Street – a temporary luxury shopping destination that gives designer brands the opportunity to present their collections in high-profile locations.

Falling down the rabbit hole: an introduction to Mineralien

About 6 years ago I, like Alice, fell down a rabbit hole and into a completely new world of lily-pads, horsetails, zebra-stripes, rain and silk. This kaleidoscopic universe is what you find inside gemstones. You can peek through the keyhole with a loupe but what you really need is a microscope to see any detail.

Creating something special for the VCCA

Being half American is very dear to me especially when that ties me to Virginia, where my Mother was born in Lynchburg. I've always felt at home there especially as an escape from the frenetic pace of London so you couldn't have a better location for an artistic retreat. At the end of a long winding driveway, tucked amongst lush woodland with the Blue Ridge Mountains on the horizon you'll find the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). Since I've been collaborating with them on an auction lot to raise funds during their Fête Champêtre on Saturday April 29th 2017, I was delighted to have the chance to look round their grounds, hear how things are run and even meet a couple of their residents last time I was in town.
