The Rock Hound Takes Milan Jewellery Week by Storm

Known as the Grand International Jewelry Festival, the third edition of the Milano Jewelry Week concluded with overwhelmingly positive feedback and an increase in both national and international recognition and attendance. Spanning more than 100 events from 17th-22nd of October 2023, over 350 exhibitors from 40 different countries were welcomed to prestigious locations in the heart of Milan.

Grand International Jewelry Festival, the third edition of the Milano Jewelry Week

The Jewelry HUB, was the stage for an exclusive and innovative event held at La Pelota. Its aim to highlight niche brands which exhibited and presented their collections, of course The Rouch Hound was one of them! This special event provided an opportunity for the exhibitors, from different territories and cultures, to come together to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the contemporary jewellery sector.

In their article “Growing success for Milan Jewelry Week” Costasmeralda quotes Enzo Carbone , CEO of Prodes Italia, the founding company of the Milan Jewelry Week as saying “Our idea was to bring people closer to the sector and allow everyone to discover what's behind a jewel.” And boy did it deliver!

The Rock Hound exhibited some of my favourite pieces as part of Aristar Jewels “The artistic jewelry as never seen before” showcase. 2 pieces from the award-winning Chromanteq Collection and my showstopper Muzo Candelabra Necklace.

Featuring a 26ct of Muzo Columbian Emerald from Colombia dripping with 47g of Fairtrade Gold traceable back to the mines in Peru through FairTrade UK. This head-turning piece is the culmination of hours of meticulous work by my own two hands to get that polish into each nook and cranny meaning the gold takes on a molten look.

With its materials being totally traceable to sources from South America with the gold through all the way from Peru and the emeralds from Muzo in Colombia. It’s The Ultimate Piece of Honest Luxury.

Special prizes were presented to some of the participants of the Artistar Jewels exhibition. International galleries that are partners of the event selected works to include in their exhibitions. The Rock Hound was picked up by not one but two of these prestigious galleries.

As mentioned in the press release from InstoreMag “The City of Milan Set the Stage for the Grand International Jewelry Festival”, Eleni Marneri Gallery and Second Petale Gallery both selected pieces from The Rock Hound for collaboration in future exhibitions.

Eleni Marneri Gallery is one of the only spaces in Athens dedicated to art jewellery. It is known for organising exhibitions and activities that reveal knowledge, experience and devotion to luxury aesthetics for over thirty years. The galleries owner Eleni Marneri says "Jewellery among brilliant gems and mineral stones along with art objects and refined fragrance notes from remarkable perfume houses, all blend masterfully in Eleni Marneri Galerie."

Located in Paris, boasting rare and groundbreaking pieces of jewellery from the creators who push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship, Second Petale Gallery specialises in artistic contemporary and vintage jewellery from emerging and well-known contemporary designers.

We cannot imagine two better spaces to feature The Rock Hound jewellery.
