Founded in 2015, British brand The Rock Hound, is known for using responsibly sourced raw materials to create striking design-led jewellery

Since inception, The Rock Hound has been committed to the responsible sourcing of precious metals and gemstones. I strive, in all areas of business, to use the most sustainable methods of sourcing and think carefully over the choices we make, down to the tea we drink in the workshop.

Chromanteq

Chromanteq uses state of the art systems to transform hand-drawn designs into 3D wax prints. Uniquely cut gemstones are 3D scanned meaning each setting is made to only ever fit that stone. These prints are then cast in recycled precious metals and coated in a kaleidoscopic array of our signature colour coatings to highlight the natural luminosity of these wonders of the earth. Responsibly sourced gemstones, in equally colourful hues, are then set and mounted, creating unconventional and exclusive pieces. No two compositions will ever be the same.

RockStars

Here at The Rock Hound we are self confessed gem geeks and our RockStars Collection takes the structural form of natural crystals, playfully replicated in Fairtrade Gold allowing the wearer to harness the beauty and making this collection perfect ethical everyday wear. The RockStars Collection are an homage to the crystal system of our favourite gemstone, Tourmaline.

GoldRush

By creating Fairtrade Gold ‘nuggets’, The Rock Hound take the gold back to its original, organic form, enabling them to present the gold similar to how it is found by the miners. This has a truly powerful impact and forms a deeper understanding and connection between mine and market.

Molten Muzo

As The Gemmologist Jeweller we always do our upmost to preserve, reinforce and complement each gemstone’s unique attributes letting the Rocks be the Star of the Show. We designed this collection consciously using Fairtrade Gold, a gold which aligns perfectly with MUZO’s core beliefs. Nothing is quite as luxurious as Emeralds literally dripping with molten gold; introducing our Molten MUZO Collection.

HotRocks

HotRocks is a diffusion collection and provides a more accessible entry point for gem lovers and jewellery obsessives, created by replicating the natural quartz crystals in solid 100% recycled sterling silver.
